In Response To: Re: Outside of Sandtrap (Stephen L. (SoundEffect)) : Hey Omega, thanks A LOT for the excellent caps of the frigate! I've been so : looking forward to seeing some really good detail ship shots! lol. I thought you might like those. I've actually discovered an extremely simple way of getting out of the campaign maps in saved films:
Here's how it's done: On some maps there are holes in the invisible barriers which you can simply fly through. I've found two very handy ones thus far. Naturally in the two places I'd want to fly around.
For this one just fly out of the first hangar, and then down and over until you're past the invisible wall. Afterwards you have free ability to fly about the battle going on around the cruiser. Unfortunately both the combatants and the cruiser are scaled down. :(
Just press 'y' at the start of The Ark and you can watch those first two encounters from a distance.
Just before the area on The Ark where the Dawn lands you can fly up through this hole and explore the area (including the frigate upon landing. If you want any more pix just let me know and I'd be happy to contact you via email.
