Mombasa resident Fahmi Basalim gives his perspective on Halo's take on the future of his city. Very interesting stuff, and it reflects the depth of the Halo backstory... Basalim is even able to hypothesise why Old Mombasa was left in its roughly 21st century state while New Mombasa prospered so greatly. (And it's not just because of where the skyhook is.)

-- Steve's not quite sure what Basalim meant by calling it "sycophancy" (maybe "flattering" would've been the better choice?) but is fascinated by how well someone living in the milieu can relate to Halo's future history.
