I still don't have H3 (maybe soon), but in the meanwhile I've been reading a lot of reviews courtesy of links at metacritic.com - a useful site. I came across one in particular that I simply want to recommend as an enjoyable read.
The first novel aspect of this piece by Geoff Holland is that he talks extensively and enthusiastically about H1 and H2 before even getting onto H3. His views on H2 are quite opposite from my own (he thought it improved on H1 in nearly every way whereas I, er... most definitely didn't), but never mind. He's got some nice nostalgia going there and I thought it was excellent writing. The second novel aspect is that he's writing an ongoing "reviewer's diary" as he puts it, which will grow over the coming weeks as he plays H3. So "go read", as Louis might say.
