Next on the list of Halo-vehicles in XPlane: WARTHOG! I swore I wouldn't ever try to get into complicated object animations....but here I am! First there were the flames for the Pelican, and then the moving ramp for my Longsword, and now: the most-fun truck in the universe...the M12-LRV WARTHOG! My big challenge with the Warthog was getting the articulated suspension to move right. It turns out to be not all that bad (yeah, right, you say), but I won't bore you with the details. For those who would like to know, just ask, I'll be happy to discuss and explain it all. In the meantime, enjoy this little tidbit I made of the Warthog-in-progress: http://useruploads.mythica.org/view/XPlaneWarthog1.mp4 I'm planning on releasing this along with the Pelican. They'll be separate downloads of course, as they are separate "aircrafts", but they'll be available at the same time. When, you ask? Soon. As soon as my test pilot and I can iron out some kinks in the art.stab system.
