4 Part Machinima Mini-series | |

Hey All, For a class at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) , a group of 8 people including myself worked on a machinima entitled 'WAKING'. It ended up being around 25 minutes not including credits and is broken down into four acts. It uses the Halo 2 engine as well as Half Life 2, Second Life, and Unreal 2004, all intertwined. Also, Maya was used for some of the 3d effects, and was put together in Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere. Here is a general description of the series: A sentient multiplayer bot, Vatar is the first true AI in existence. Programmed to know only the game world and servers that govern them, Vatar's perception of existence lasts from the moment of spawn to the final kill of the match. When the creators decide to test the limits of Vatar's capabilities, Vatar must come to grips with the newfound abilities and unfamiliar emotional bonds made with those she meets.
