Ever wonder what Halo would like on SNES? *IMGS* | |

A Little Background Info I'm not sure if any of you have heard of an older program called RPG Maker 2000. First off, I hate it...but, it's the closest thing I could get for free and for my level of game-making comprehension. Anyway, I tried making my own RPG's by ripping off every cliché possible until I got bored and put it away. Then one day I decided to have some fun seeing if I could make a Halo adaptation, running through Master Chief's path in H1 and H2 in Super Nintendo style. Problem was, I did not want to make a boring and slow RPG...so I figured out through many, many hours of experimenting with coding (poor translation littered the program), and finally making it possible to run and gun and use vehicles whenever you want to! I used basic resources that came with the program, some graphics user-submitted to websites (sorry I have no idea who you are anymore, but thank you), and a lot of my own creations. I also spent a lot of time figuring out how to make 2D cinemas in the engine all on my own. I found some midi files of Halo music and even figured how to play the darn Halo music and create my own midis. All in all, it was a lot of addicting, frustrating hours of trial and error and squinting my eyes at tiny pixels. I never finished it though, since it was hard to keep coming back to 2D graphics when I got Halo PC Custom stuff and Oblivion editors... BUT I remembered all this and tinkered with it the other day and I thought people might be interested in seeing it. Maybe soon I can figure out how to release a demo of the finished parts, and you all can play it! That would probably be the beginning of Halo 1 and Metropolis in Halo 2. Enjoy these screenshots for now! The Game
Thanks for looking at what took a lot of time and still has so much unfinished. I doubt I'll ever get much farther, but I may try and get some isolated missions playable.
