(Louis Wu) : Heh - or maybe it's as simple as 'KP's last day was last Friday'. :) Okay, clearly the inner workings of Bungie hiring practices aren't as well known as I thought they were - sorry for any confusion. Many Bungie employees are hired as contract workers, through companies that Microsoft has relationships with - they get their paychecks from the outside company, not from Bungie or Microsoft directly. The biggest difference between these workers and folks that are hired as full-time Bungie employees is that they're required to take 100 days off each year. So they work for 9 months, then get an enforced 3-month break. If the contract is renewed, they can come back after the 100 days. If it's not, they find another job. KP's 9 months ended last Friday - he's on break until May. From what I can see, he did his job pretty damned well, and his contract will probably be renewed, if he wants it to be.
