Following Arbiter777's mystery on the Silent Cartographer island, I'm reminded of an oddity I noticed out at sea near that very same area, sometime last year.
Wade out to sea; probably anywhere around the island will do. When your head is just under the surface, you can see what looks like bats flying around above, their images distorted by the rippling water. But they're not there of course. Well, not unless they're special magical bats or something! Anyone got any idea what this is? If it's not just an unintended artifact of the graphics, perhaps it's meant to be bits of seaweed floating around or something like that? Still looks more like bats than seaweed though! Go have a look.
