| Your team quits -- you're outnumbered 4 to 1... | |

...hope all you can you're playing against the four guys I played against. Yesterday, I hopped into Match Making for a little training, and wound up in a Team Slayer game on Ivory Tower, with a bunch of strangers. The other team seemed to know each other -- they talked about personal matters, while my team remained silent. A few minutes into the game (We were losing) one of my teammates quits. A few seconds later, the other guy and his guest betray me and quit. I am left alone. But heck, I decided I'd stay in, see how much damage I could cause. I didn't do much -- this was one of the most coordinated teams I've seen. They dominated all of the power weapons, the patrolled the map regularily, they stuck together -- the few kills I managed to squeek by with were sneak attacks, ambushes, or random spots of luck. ;) But that's not the reason I'm writing this. The reason is -- they were honestly some of the best sports I have played with, in a long, long time. Not once was I insulted, 'teabagged', or otherwise ridiculed. "He's down" was the most severe comment I heard. :P Now, who were these mystery players? TTL Stuicide
In the post game lobby, I thanked them for the game, and they all said 'Good Game' to me in gracious tones, and left. I clicked on one of their usernames, to leave some 'Good Attitude' and 'Great Session' feedback, and was treated to a pleasant surprise. Their clan name was TTL Gunslingers. That's right, the Tied The Leader Gunslingers. (Stuicide's name clicked into place in my mind.) Most pleasantly surprised indeed. Now, if this is representative of their entire clan, and from reading their blog -- it sounds like it -- this is honestly one of the most sportsman-like clans out there. Shout outs to Stuicide, Fouch, Cleanbeats, and Sidenkiero, and all of the rest of the TTL Gunslingers! You guys are great. Good game, indeed. | |
