In Response To: If I was Bungie, I would be heartbroken... (Cocopjojo) : I am freakin' pumped about the game, but... : Halo is Bungie's baby and it has been stripped from them. I can only imagine
: Say goodbye to any sort of canon. : Now that Halo is open to any studio Microsoft wants to give it to, there
: I want Microsoft to make money and I want Bungie to make money, but in a lot
: Say goodbye to an era. : I feel for you, Bungie and I want you guys to know you rock and I know you'll
: I hope I'm wrong about all this and somehow, Bungie is able to have control
: But I seriously doubt that. : I'm not trying to be a naysayer, I'm just telling it like it is: Halo isn't
: Cocop I think you're taking this the wrong way. We are involved with these projects and it wouldn't be happening unless they were worth-while projects. Halo started as an RTS and seeing it realized as an RTS is something we're really excited about. To have Ensemble creating it is even better, when it comes to RTS's they are one of if not the best studio producing them. There is no RTS that I have enjoyed more than the Age of Empires series and I can't wait to play the final product. It's not like MS is just out there throwing the franchise at whatever it sticks to. We'll be involved with Ensemble as well as Peter Jackson and company to make sure that both titles are worthy of the Halo name. We wouldn't have let them get off the ground if we didn't like their visions. Many, many more projects lie dead on the floors of Bungie than you will ever know. Do not fear for Bungie nor for the Halo name. You need only watch the trailer to realize that this isn't just a crappy spin-off with the Halo name slapped on it. This is the real deal. KP |
