Wired - The Mythical 40-Hour Gamer
Posted By: 3SunsDate: 9/25/06 7:00 p.m.

'Tis my dilemma. Oh, that I had more time!

That Halo can be played in short, independent sessions, is one of the reasons I like Halo so much. Not just campaign mode, but even more so, Multiplayer Live.

Halo is mentioned in the article as exemplar for being not to long and not to short. Kudos to J.G. and the whole team!

"And some designers just hit a perfect midpoint: Halo became famous for creating a long narrative game that also offered "30 seconds of fun" over and over again, perfect for short play-sessions."

Cheers,
Michael
