Interesting... While in Barnes and Noble yesterday

I usually lurk, but I just had to share this. I was there buying a couple books, when I noticed in the new release section of science fiction something VERY strange indeed. Something had caught my eye, something I had seen a hundred times before but seeing it now out of place... The Halo 2 Battle Rifle, copied down to every last detail, on some cheese-tastic vampire novel. The book is titled "Valentine's Exile". Anyways, I came home to find a cover image on the internet to show you all. Unfortunately, this was the biggest and clearest I could find. You think Bungie sold the design for them to use, or is it just a plain old illegitimate copy?
