New fun at Bad Cyborg. Turn Hunters into spectacular fireworks on the Silent Cartographer island! Last year I posted Elite fireworks and advertised it here in the HBO forum. That was about getting some oddly frozen Elites in AOTCR, who you could then send shooting up into the sky like fireworks, leaving behind a glorious pink trace of needle explosions. Hunter fireworks is about doing something similar with Hunters in SC, but this is easier to set up. You'll end up with a pair of frozen Hunters at a launch area you've chosen. To launch a Hunter you'll blast the ground under his feet with multiple rockets, fire multiple needler clips into him if you want an explosive pink trace, maybe tag him with a few plasma grenades for good measure, then back off in the right direction to see him suddenly shoot up, potentially going so high that he becomes a tiny dot, even in a 2x view. I'm not sure whether this is new. I suspect not, but I searched the HBO archives for phrases like "Hunter launching" and "frozen Hunter" and couldn't find anything relevant ("Hunter launching" only gave something about launching a Hunter by leading him over a pile of grenades, something you can see in the HBO 'Tips and Tricks' section here, courtesy of xbill). If anyone cares to clue me in on earlier descriptions if they exist, I'll be happy to hear about them. Even if it's not completely new though, I hope the article will be useful. I got my first frozen Hunters a few months back when having some fun leading Hunters around. Incidentally, you can also have fun pinging shots off a frozen Hunter's shield. See if you can get plasma shots bouncing back and whistling past your ears. I've added a separate fun item about this, which you'll find referred to in the firework article. | |
