Hi, I'm BOLL.

In about three hours (around 6AM, it's April the 2nd here already) my play time on my World of Warcraft subscription will run out, for good. That game has sucked away enough of my soul, I'm getting it back as we speak.

!! WoW talk, might be incomprehensible for people untainted by WoW !!
For around nine months I was a hard-core-ish end-game raider in a large end-game hard-core-ish raiding guild. For the ones who has played the game, I had full tier1 and tier2 sets, was exalted with the Zandalar faction, had all engineering schematics in-game, etc etc etc.

Playing end-game content is probably fine for people who don't feel any kind of responsibility, but I played a healer class, a priest, which keeps other people alive, and the amount of focus and stress that the game generated for me is just insane. It was common that healers in our healing chat channel complained on headaches etc. It was... hell.

Right now I have a hard time understanding why I didn't leave WoW earlier, maybe I thought it would get better, that Blizzard would fix it, but no.

Currently I feel... calmness... peace... freedom... it's wonderful. I'm just really happy to be alive again. In the last few weeks where I phased out my WoW playing, I've spent time couch-gaming with local friends, watching anime, movies, reading books, newspapers, magazines and started being creative again.

I realize it's kind of weird to post this here, but this does feel like home. So happy, sniff.
