Hey all,

Yesterday, I slept the sleep of the dead--a glorious 18 hours, a feat of somnolence that rivals my marathon kip after finishing the 2000 E3 movie. You see, after more sleepless nights that we care to remember, Marty, Jay and I have finished (except for some final bug fixes) Halo's cinematics! We'll have to time them all out, but I think we have between 45 minutes and an hour of scored, in-engine minor and major cutscenes.

As for the interview movie on the fly-by-night MS Halo page, thanks for clearing up what Marty (aka "Canyon Jack") meant. I've seen Blue Thunder (great movie from when I was young, the second movie my Dad rented for our "Betamax", a free copy of Halo for whoever can guess the first) but not True Lies. With respect to my retort about Godard, I was referring to a certain scene in Breathless (1959). But don't worry, as Matt Segur likes to remind me in a not altogether laudatory manner, Halo's cinematics tend toward action not introspection.

Hopefully we'll be able to give you an abbreviated taste of what's in store (i.e. a new trailer) sometime soon. Certainly before Halo is on the shelves, a date that really isn't that far off.
