This is pretty old for me. I found it on my second time through (the game where I played it to see things, but to beat down Covenant to beat the game).

In that room you can hear the same pulsing noise that is in the opening cutscene to the "Gravemind" level, where you first meet the creature.

This pulsing noise is only found in those two places. In the room in High Charity, and in the massive "grave" room where you first Gravemind.

Maybe he's like an uprooted plant!
