Bungie's recent comments have NOT been denials that the project exists. They've been 'we won't be very involved if it happens' comments.

It has quite a lot of backbone. Real rumors of this magnitude get slapped down, hard, by Bungie. This one hasn't been. That, all by itself, suggests that it's NOT a rumor.
