Basically what I found is that every melee attack for every weapon is always a multiple of the weakest melee, which is the stationary melee for the majority of the weapons. And since it takes 6 of the weakest melees to kill someone, we can think of the damage each melee does on a scale of 1 to 6 (why not seven?). Any combination that adds up to 6 should equal a kill.
