In Response To: Who turned on whom? LOTS of *SP* (Sep7imus [subnova]) Prophets > Elites > Rest of Covenant Brutes and Drones join Covenant. Brutes ambitious. Halo explodes. Arbiter punished for this 'heresy'. Prophets know that Arby is loyal, so they make him the Arbiter Regret jumps the gun, tries to accelerate the Great Journey (ie, judgement day. All shall die and be judged, the Prophets, as holy beings, shall get into heaven. Suicide is a sin, so they are trying to accelerate process via Halos. Prophets KNOW exactly what Halos do, they want to die) Truth and Mercy pull Regret up on this when he is on Delta Halo Meanwhile, the Heretic is the leader of a group of Elites (and some grunts) who are upsetting the natural balance of things by claiming that the Great Journey is actually just death.
Master Chief kills Regret ("But it sounds like you could be doing Truth a favour") The Prophets and Brutes use this excuse to oust the Elites. If you watch this scene, the Brutes are stealing the elites uniforms. Spec Ops leader protests, but by now he and his Elites are doubting the Prophets, this Great Journey sounds a lot like death. He nods to Arbiter as he passes - Arby and Spec Ops are now on same side. Arby is sent to retrieve Sacred Icon (index), where he is betrayed by Tatarus. Arby is now 'sideless' except for his one ally, Spec Ops.
Audrey unites MC and Arby. MC goes to fight Covenant - the Brutes at this point turn on the Grunts and Elites when the Flood are released. Elites, Hunters and Grunts are like "No, thank you, Great Journey sounds swell and all, but I choose life." Brutes, Jackals and Drones are religion happy. Arby goes to get Scarab, has joined forces with Spec Ops. They join forces with Miranda and Sarge, while MC goes off on his own to Earth. To recap -
Gravemind/Audrey is somewhat of a rogue player right now. I'll count Cortana in this group too, since at the end of Halo she's not with anyone, though technically still on our side. |
