| Gamestars Live Halo 2 - A load of bollocks :-( | |

I went to GSL today, I went straight to the Halo 2 booth. It looked great! 3 guys in nightmare armour! (Green, Red, and Blue), a large bunker with Halo 2 symbols on it, a huge banner... but when I started queuing, things went downhill from there... 1. I queued at the Halo 2 booth at 12.40. At 1PM, I got to a nice sign, it said something along the lines of "Your will play Halo 2 for the first time in the UK in: 60 Minutes" In the nice Halo 2 magazine advert font. I thought "Cool!" as I watched the E3 demo and Halo 2 trailer for the 3rd time. What I didn't expect was one HOUR later, to go past another poster that said "Your will play Halo 2 for the first time in the UK in: 40 Minutes". That's right, I queued for 4 hours total in a one hour queue! 2. When I got closer, I noticed that after standing for 4 hours, inside there was no seating! When playing, you had to stand on your (already aching) legs! 3. We played slayer on Zanzibar. This seemed a bit strange to me, but I thought "Ok, it'll be fun". Half of the bunker was red, and half of us were blue. We were even told by the people that it was our half vs the other half. (Literally as well as in the game, half of the bunker had red lighting and stuff) I picked up and played after a female voice boomed from above about the first UK play. I instantly realised something was wrong. EVERYONE spawned within 20 meters of each other on the beach! I got to a warthog as soon as possible, and my friend, speedofdark, (on my team) managed to kick me out of it! At this point we realised that the game had not even been set as team slayer! It turned into a horribly confusing game, which lasted only about one minute... then we were told we could not play again. One round of slayer in a map that was designed for single flag ctf! 4. People had obviously at some point messed around with settings in the game, screwing people over. My controller had been set to "Boxer", so when duel wielding I didn't have a chance to fire my second gun, left trigger would melee. And I challenge anyone to aim and fire well with the B button. Whereas my friend (speedofdark)'s controls had been inverted, which caused him to screw up in terms of playing too! From what I can make out, the game chosen we were playing was pretty much the demonstration given by Max Hoberman, which is why everyone spawned so close together, and why the Warthog started where it did. This was a major oversight! After this, it was kind of obvious the people were not Bungie employees, and had been given very little training in how to set up the game :( Some of you may say that I'm selfish, that some Halo 2 is better than none at all. But honestly, 4 hours wait for 1 minute of poorly organised Halo 2 was a bad experience for me. :( Gist of it:
