| Halo 2 specualtion, Single player demo on the way! | |

HALO 2. Single Player demo is on the way!!!!!! Has everyone on the planet now been made aware of the viral marketting scheme, currently underway for Halo 2. If not, go and check it out right now and be amazed at the intricacy and mass hysteria it is causing as the strange countdown timer ticks down to the mysterious date of 24th August. The hype and speculation surrounding the "event" to take place is insane as people throw guess after guess out all over the place at what it might be. Is it going to be stage 2 of the marketting, T-shirts, or, as most people hope, a playable demo of the single player campaign. Now Bungie have categorically stated that they will not be releasing any single player demo's as to do so would destroy the impact of the games final release but here is the interesting bit. I work for GAME (the British version of EB - though we have now bought out the name and we are no longer related to EB in any way) and we are currently handing out flyers for the "Game Stars" event happening in London on 1st-5th of September. On the back of the flyer, it lists a whole host of unreleased games that will be available to PLAY and BUY at the show. Guess what??? HALO 2 is the first game on the list!!!!!!!!!!! In small print at the bottom of the flyer it states that some games will only be available to play, but it says nothing about some games only being watchable demos!! This would DEFINITELY SUGGEST THAT A PLAYABLE VERSION OF HALO 2 WILL BE AT THE SHOW!!! The dates even add up, Aug 24th - demo released US, 1 week later Game Stars show get's it's hands on it and runs it in the UK. My head is spinning already! Now if this were a small back street show, I would expect this to be some sort of weak attempt to drum up ticket sales, but the "Game Stars" show is huge and was even a televised event earlier this year and this show is shaping up to be even bigger. So surely this can't be a mistype or straight out lie, THE DEMO IS COMING AND YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT!!! (Well that's my theory anyway)
