I feel it's necessary to point out something important, that Matt may have alluded to in his ass-kicking: I do NOT represent any longer the views of Bungie nor am I allowed to discuss information relevant to Halo - whether I know it or not. It is true that I received the cryptic message from a confirmed and legitmate source, but I don't feel comfortable revealing that source, considering the NDA that I signed when I came to The Company and the secrecy probably desired from wherever the email came from. Granted, I am technically no longer bound by that agreement based on the sale to Microsoft (a small loophole in NDA laws :). However, out of respect to both Matt, Alex, Jason, the Halo team, and the rest of Bungie, I will of course honor my agreement anyway. Not like some particular "interviewee" I remember from the past. I do feel it is really my obligation that if I receive something that I feel is valid, I reveal it (even if not revealing the source), to the Bungie community - as a fan and certainly as a supporter of the 1st amendment, giving the right of freedom of speech. And just to be clear to those who don't know me, I am the FORMER Producer and Creative Developer of Halo. Hey, at least I got to name it. =) I do not have ANY current job at Bungie or Microsoft. As for the FBI, I'll leave that up to you to decide what you wish to believe. No smiley faces with that. With the first part of school completed (the second part being graduate school), I am likely on a very separate career path. However, I have many friends at Bungie, and while they're laughing while strawberry and chocolate milk comes out of their nose at the moment - especially Matt =), one never knows what the future holds. And also, I know the people of Bungie. Jason has been a friend (for the most part, right Jason? ;) for over a decade. Don't doubt Bungie's integrity ... or, rather feel free to doubt it, but, personally, I know better. The company, no matter what their name is or where they're located at, or who their associated with, will always BE Bungie. They'd disband before being forced to make games that do not meet BUNGIE'S standards. They are men and women of integrity (at least the 50 I knew :) - you have nothing to fear.
