Halo World - To Matt

Matt,
I was wondering, how will Halo deal with the size of the world?
Are we going to be limited to certain hand-made islands or areas on the halo because of natural phenomena, distance, or other such things?
Or will we be able to traverse the entire hand-made ring?
Or, finally, will we be able to explore the ring on terrain, the non-important areas of which are generated by mathematical formulas and the important (i.e. areas with buildings or other things of tactical importance) of which are hand-made?
