Howdy Folks, Better late than never right? Well, maybe not...here's todays weekly update, in specatcular list form! Things Covered: Overview-- Basically, this week was big in some ways, small in others. Scott's progress has been great in the art department. He's mapped out our first building for the city level, and gotten some new renderings of the Katana and other fun weapons for you all to see. The composer has been working madly to get more music samples and sound effects going that will make it into final beta. Engine Progress-- We've made some progress working with the Torque engine. I've managed to get the Models loading in correctly and have played with the terrain editor and physics engine, to get the game more Halo-esque. Look in the near future for a movie I captured demonstrating the various cool features of the Torque engine. XM-44: The battle rifle of today!-- Scott has modeled an experimental bullpup type of gun, called the XM-44. It's a fully automatic variant of the Dual SMG's seen in the Halo 2 E3 demo. However it fires cased rounds, and holds a clip of about 50. Pictures follow at the end of the update. Weekly Music-- This weeks music are a work in progress and a piece entitled Genious. (Yes, it's spelled that way on purpose) Let us know what you think! Website Finally Fixed!-- Our website (hosted on the Junkyard) is finally up and running again, after some serious downtime. Our news program is working, now any member of the team can post updates to the sites, and have them shown instantly. Also, a few spacing problems that occurred when Mac users tried to load the page is now fixed. The front page news is a great source for updates on what the various team members are doing.
