Wireframe Halo!!! *IMGS*

So I was updating my copy of Mac Halo to the new 1.041 patch (at least I think it was the right patch...), and everything seems to go fine with the updater. So I launch Halo, but after the intro movies finish, I see something I wasn't quite expecting:

So naturally, after letting the expletives fly, I became a bit curious to see how widespread this wireframe effect would go. In addition, wanting to test compatibility with the PC update, I hopped onto a random Ice Fields server.

Next I loaded up a Blood Gulch game:

I wanted to test out the controls too as I had been experiencing the keyboard problem, and I found that it indeed was as before:

I think Gephyrophobia looks pretty cool as a wireframe map:

Sure enough, the effect carried over to single player as well:

I was also quite amused how plasma grenades appeared as little clusters of bright blue lines. :D

Fortunately, reinstalling Halo and re-updating it managed to fix the problem. I have to say though, I will miss the higher framerate ;)
