Project Halo Weekly Update *IMG's*
Posted By: SanchezTheLlama <halogenius@sbcglobal.net>Date: 2/7/04 11:11 a.m.

Howdy all,

It's been another exciting week for Project Halo: Webwar Evolved. Let me give you the skinny:

Mac Development- Nothing has really happened here, we do have people researching engine technology and looking at various code examples.

Windows Development- Sean our prodigy AI developer, is working lots of overtime on our AI demo, which should be available in 1-2 weeks. It's pretty impressive, two AI's battle it out in a text based world until one kills the other, or they run out of ammo. Can anyone say fist fight? ;)

Engine-Looking over various engines, we were pretty much sure we were going to use the BZFlag engine for speed and multiplatform compatibility. Now, one of our developers purchased the Torque engine, which has pretty much everything we need in it. Cross-platform, AI, Physics, Vehicles, Big Map Support, you name it. However, using this engine would mean dropping open source, however the game would remain free. So we'd like to hear from you, I've set up a poll on our Junkyard Forum, located here. Please give us your input.

Now, for the eye candy, we have a new Human Pistol, modeled by our very talented 3D modeler Scott. Also, two new Songs by our composer Adam, one titled NewSong and the other MoonSong. Enjoy!

MoonSong

All for now folks, cheers!
