Hello All, I am currently working on a project on SourceForge.net which is a strategy game based on Halo. It offers internet play across Mac, windows and linux platforms as well as LAN play. You can check it out here http://sourceforge.net/projects/webwar Although that site isn't really up to date on how the game works. It features the Mac but is going to be ported to PC and Linux. The reason I'm posting here is we need developers. I am an avid Mac user and I'm handling the brunt of this project on the Mac side. We have 1 windows guy as well. The project is in early development and anyone who is interested may join up. We need developers of all types, graphics, video and so on. All skills are welcome and if you are interested I'm sure our developers would be happy to teach you what you need to know. To describe the game in a little more detail: You first register yourself on the Project Halo website (yet to be designed) You then recruit your team. There is no limit to how big your team can be, and there will be a lobby section to join a freelancing game in the event that you can't find a team game. Then you pick a team race, each team gets to pick either The Flood, The Covenant, or The Humans, each race has their own individual strengths and weaknesses. Then you find another team to play against. It's all about the strategy. Statistics and rankings can be turned on and off to the hosts desire. This project has a lot of potential and hopefully we can get some more developers. Contact the project leader at theman7521@aol.com or me at halogenius@sbcglobal.net.
