According to Michel, the Halo PC Project lead, porting to OpenGL is the current plan.

What irks me most about ATI on the Mac (in general) is that they jack the price up so high for the same product on a different platform. A 9000 pro on the PC costs half as much on the Mac. Half! I saw one advertised for $75 in the sunday paper. You're lucky if you can find a Mac 9000 pro for under $150. (and it's not even supported!) With nVidia, if you know which PC cards are mac compatible, you can just buy the card from your local PC shop, pop it in your Mac, and BAM! you're up and running at the same low price as your PC buddies.
