I just got a new build from Westlake today. They're making substantial progress, but since they are doing their bug tracking internally, I have no idea what the bug count is at at this point.

For you Mac people that are frustrated with having to wait a bit longer, rememeber that Halo is very dependent on DirectX 9. Since these libraries don't exist on the Mac, all the pixel shaders, vertex shaders and what not have to be ported to OpenGL. Also, the plan for the Mac version is to ship with a codebase current with whatever the PC is at. Since Gearbox has already posted 2 patches, Westlake is still not out of the "trying to hit a moving target" mode yet.

[personal rant]
On a side note, I recently purchased a Radeon 9000 pro Mac Edition specifically to test it on my home machine with an ATI card. One week later, it died.
Although ATI granted me repairs (after 2 emails and a couple of phone calls), they made me pay for shipping even though it wasn't my fault the card was defective. (did you know that even though the 9000 is a current card on the product line, that ATI will not support it if used in OSX 10.2.3 or higher?)
Anyway, one week later they tell me they have no record of my card being recieved by their repair shop. Fortunately not only did I have a tracking number, but I had the name of the dude at ATI that signed for it :). They said they'll get back to me on it. Five days later I still haven't heard from them.
I hate ATI. I have never liked their cards and now I hate their company even worse. If you are thinking of upgrading your video card to play Halo Mac (or PC for that matter) I would *highly* recommend going with an nVidia option.
