The Halo Scavenger hunt - a short FAQ. | |

If you are reading this, then you obviously are confused about this hunt - just like many other people. So i have taken the opportunity to create a small guide/FAQ about the whole contest. Outlined below is the basics of what we do know, and how to go about starting a hunt yourself. I think the main problem that everyone seems to be having is the vagueness of the ordeal, and an example, so everyone knows what to look out for. I have compiled a short guide on what to do. If this is for you, (or you are bored!) read on my friend..... First of all, heres an example. It is one i know about that was an instant win jobbie - however now useless, since the prize has already been won! Therefore, it doesnt matter about me telling you. If you go to http://halo.bungie.org/misc/tghshrules.html in the top left corner where the ramdom picture comes up, if you keep pressing refresh, eventually you will come across a wierd circular picture that is a link to a page. This is the insaccarto - the compass. Now, im guessing that by 'online halo', this means that all over the halo community, various websites etc. Just run around looking all over for this type of thing - strange links that shouldnt normally be there, or wierd strangely hidden pictures. Also, since the insaccarto is a compass, each trinket has a meaning. Perhaps north, south, east and west. Is that a hint? Now for the FAQ part. Q. Where are these trinkets?
Q. What do they look like?
Q. How do the prizes work?
Q. What are these 'instant win' thingies?
One last point before I leave, if you think you have found a trinket, KEEP IT TO YOURSELF! If you tell everyone, they may then have the last one they need to win. I cannot emphasize this enough. Happy Hunting! Y-the-G
