Question about fan fiction...

It's been about two years since I last wrote a fan fiction piece. I just wrote one early today (actually I guess it was yesterday, it's 4 in the morning) and sent it in. Now since it's not up on the site, am I correct in assuming that the stories aren't posted automatically and that someone goes through and reads them to make sure they aren't covenant porn stories or something? Just curious.
