I went away for the weekend and whenever I stay in a hotel I take a lot of the things including the bible just for fun. Knowing that there is a lot of connections between the Haloverse and the bible I opened it up and started to read it during one of our six hour car drives. I opened it up to genesis and started reading. This is what I read and what I thought of it. Genesis chapter:1 verse:1 In the beggining God created the heaven and the earth. Forerunners or Forerunner as it's seeming to be created Halo. As for the heaven thing I explain a little later. verse:2- And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. I think this explains when Halo had nothing on it yet and was only that dark metal. The Spirit of God part may be talking about a machine that made the oceans. It had the Forerunner's spirit because it may have created the water from nothing. verse:3- And God said let there be light: and there was light Halo was put into orbit around Threshold and it came out from around it and into the sunlight. verse:4- And God saw the light, that it was good : and God divided the light from the darkness. The Forerunner(s) did a little adjustment on Halo's position and rotation. verse:5- And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. Explains itself. verse:6 thru 8- (6)And God said, Let there be firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
This is where I'll explain what heaven is. I was thinking of Halo as earth and then I was thinking of what could be heaven. Heaven is above earth but Halo faces in. Then I thought of heaven as being a space station/ship that sits right in the middle of Halo. Thats why you don't see any cities or living quarters of any kind. This would also keep the Forerunner(s) coveniently close to Halo but out of the reach of the Flood. For anybody who saw the first episode of Star Trek Voyager you might start to be putting things together. There was this being who for a very long time was giving supplies to this race of people on a practically inhabital planet. He would shoot these beams at the planet but they weren't a weapon at all, they just carried supplies. This is where those things on the level Halo come in. They would shoot them up and places like in AotCR would receive them. Verse 7 talks about a firmament(heaven or sky) seperating waters. Look at Halo sideways, put the station in the middle and you have water above and under a firmament. verses 9 and 10 talk about the dry land being made the oceans becoming seas, 11 and 12 talk about grass and fruit trees(nothing important) and 13 says that was the third day. From here on I'm not putting in the verses, way too long and pretty much pointless verses:14 and 15- (14)Talks about seasons being made and lights in the firmament. (15)Somthing about putting light onto earth. Forerunner(s) start working on Halo and activate the controlled climate. verse:16- Forerunner(s) made two lights one to rule the day and one to rule the night and he made the stars Light thing I'm not sure on but the stars might be talking about other Halos. Verse 17 and 18 are verse 15 but reworded. Verse 19 is another verse 13. verse:20- Talks about animals in the water and the firmament. Maybe the Flood were water dwellers and maybe this is when the Forerunner(s) started studying the flood. verse:21- Great whales, every creature the moves, and winged fowls(no this is not a typo,it is fowls and not owls) were created. verse:22- God blessed them and said multiply. Forerunner want the flood to take over the galaxy? 23 is another 13 and 19 verse:24- God said let the earth bring forth a creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind. Forerunner(s) testing Flood on something genetically close to the forerunner? Now I read what I wrote and I have another theory. Humans are all just cattle that the Forerunner(s) used to test the Flood with. Covenant see us and all we have done and become outraged that guinea pigs have evovled and become so technologically advanced . The Forerunner(s) looked down on us and disposed of us like we do with oxygen. So the Covies think of it as their part to destroy us. Verse 25 carries on 24 but states nothing important. verse:26- God made man after his own image and likeness and let them have dominion over everyting on the earth. This made me think instead that the Covies were the guinea pigs, the Forerunner(s) kept changin their DNA to better test the Flood. When the prophets found out about their past they became outraged and jealous of us. They spent years adapting Forerunner technology and preparing for war against us. Or...taking this from Star Wars: K.O.T.O.R., We are the Forerunner but we got rid of our past after our empire fell and we lost all power. The Prophets found out what happened to us and wanted to kill us off. Why they worship us at the same time, I don't know. Maybe it's to trick the rest of the Covenant. Maybe the Prophets know that the Brutes are the race that was created in Humans likeness and if they know that they will lead the rest of the covenant with us humans against the Prophets and we will once again come into power over them. That's pretty much it but if anyone feels like adding to this or coming up with theories on things I already theorized about then go ahead. And flame all you want,I just thought this would have a lot to do with Halo.
