Destroyer’s Invocation: a deep dive revisit of H2

Destroyer’s Invocation is a bit of dialogue that pops up in a few places in H2, along with specifically themed music. To refresh your memory, the dialogue is this:

I have walked along men and angels for 3000 years.
Time has no end, no beginning, no purpose.
I wandered the earth seeking forgiveness for my horrible crimes against God and man.
I live to see death and destruction.
Evil over the light, but the light cannot be extinguished.
I live in a prison of my own demise. I am lost in time.

Many thought the speaker was Mendicant Bias. But Marty the Elder recently twigged HiddenXperia and said:

Nope. Not MB.

So who was it? HiddenXperia and Installation00 teamed up for a two part video SERIOUSLY deep dive into this. If you’re into Halo’s deep lore, then hold on to your butts.
