"At long last, the Holy Grail of Halo: Reach tricking is finished.
After thirteen years of racking our heads together to find a way to get to the cutscene rooms at the beginning of Exodus, we have finally managed to get to them at long last. For ages, this trick was deemed impossible due to the lack of resources, checkpoints, and so on. Further, there is a trigger that deloads the cutscene areas just a few steps ahead of where the mission begins, making the equation even harder.
Thanks to Acrophobia, we can now go above the trigger with ease, but it still left us with the question of how to get out of the map and have the cutscenes loaded at the same time. Armor Locking on the wheelchair would get us out of the map, but with the cutscenes deloaded. However, this brand new approach, which also features the brand new trick of flying the beginning Falcons of Exodus, and a keen new discovery of this revert grab, plus a concoction of other factors, all come together to make this seemingly impossible trick, now possible.
It is incredible to look back at the sheer diligence, and hours upon hours invested in experimenting and testing potential methods for completing this trick. Countless ideas, all shot down over and over year after year. Years without answers. With great fulfillment, we can now say that we have finally found the method. And not only did we get to the hill cutscene, but the crash cutscene 40+ units in solid space beneath the map.
With full hearts, we hope you enjoy!"
