Really?

I think a pretty obvious reason would be the ever increasing amount of mass shootings in the United States would is a pretty hefty deterrent.

All it would take is one person killing several with a "Halo" branded weapon to incite "video games cause violence!11!" rhetoric rather than the actual root of the problem.

There is a reason the fantasy guns stay fantasy and never leave nerf or airsoft territory.
