Don't get me wrong, there's a lot of stuff that bothered me about this game. But there's a lot of things that fit like a glove. Even if changes were made (Halo installations are made of futuristic basalt pillars now? I guess...) they feel more congruent, like an attempt is being made to continue what was there to begin with. That buys Infinite a lot of goodwill that Halo 4 and Halo 5 never earned. I was a lot more willing to roll with the changes in Infinite, than if electrical weapons and grapple hooks had been introduced in Halo 5.
