Especially on Normal/Heroic, I felt like I was capable with every weapon except the plasma pistol, so basically a slight upgrade from most of the other games (didn't feel like noob combo was a necessity, though it probably will be on legendary... I might just do a LASO run for legendary since you get the bandanna skull and no iron, so I can just run around and be a plasma sword-wielding spider-man.)

I didn't miss the Spiker as much as the Brute Shot, just because it's their weapon when I think about the Brutes. The Mangler did sort of feel like a mini-brute shot, at least, and it was definitely more satisfying than the pistol in terms of getting those meaty headshots.
