: Didn't Luis predict big things for Dan?

So at PAX this year, 343 hosted a Community Appreciation event (as they do), and I went (as I do). One of the presentations was hosted by Dan, and as I walked into the conference room, I was intrigued by an older woman sitting in the back of the room - she didn't look like a 343 employee, really.

During the talk, Dan called me out (in a nice way) - he said some very nice things, and I blushed.

The talk ended, and as we're getting ready to move on to the next room, the older woman came up to me to introduce herself. She was Dan's mom, out in Seattle for a visit. She wanted to say thanks; apparently, she attributes some of her son's success to my opening of doors for him, many years ago. (I'd say that the lion's share of Dan's success comes from Dan's talents... but who am I to contradict his mom?)

Anyway, it was pretty cool. Dan does spectacular work these days, and his mom's a nice lady.
