Via the court case, we know that much of MotS was in the public domain: nearly 80%. There's a difference between-

The last 20% of a controversial piece of music leaking where causing a scene will do more harm than good.

AND

The entirety of proprietary code still (at least in part) in use by the studio that commissioned it.
