HW2 is definitely better balanced on Legendary, I think. It's tough in places (and Awakening the Nightmare is tougher) but I think I only totally wiped out something like twice in the campaign.

The new Firefight mode is tons of fun as well.

Plus it looks like it's pretty frequently on sale now, along with the various editions.
