I seem to be mentally incapable of not getting excited for each new Halo game. Maybe it's the Librarian's genesong in my DNA manipulating me (or however that works), or maybe it's because I am an obsessive person. 16 years in, and I am still hopelessly fascinated by this fictional universe.

Halo 5's campaign was largely a disappointment for me: the Hunt the Truth advertising and build-up was inconsistent with the actual game, you barely get to play as the Chief, and while I'm OK with the Master Chief failing sometimes, he and Blue Team are pretty useless throughout the game. However, there were still things I enjoyed, and I was taken by surprise by the enormous shift in galactic power at the end of the game.

I don't know where Halo 6 will take the story next, or if I will like it, but I'm looking forward to finding out.
Also, I really like Halo 5's multiplayer, and if 6 offers something as good as or better than that, that will be rad.
