Imagine if she had been the victim of childhood abuse and was able to "recall" past abuse experiences many decades after.

The only way you have to know that a reconstructed memory is correct would be to compare it with a perfect memory of the events and see how well they match. It's question begging.

A person's certain opinion that the memories are correct is not a reliable guide to the correctness of the memories.

I'm assuming that she is an honest actor and that she is genuinely deluded.
