So, I absolutely don't want to see any of my acquired goods transfer over. For me I enjoy a little effort put into something I adorn my body with. I most certainly don't buy out an entire Forever 21 and only ever wear a classic pair of skinny jeans, a flower-adorned skater dress, or a cutesy white bow hairband. That's why the old school Mark V and other armors lately don't feel as good to acquire as they did in something like Halo 3. In that game armor permutations were tied to achievements and reasonable milestones. Later iterations would be tied to an in-game currency through one method or another. Alternatively, as is the case with Halo 4, numerous permutations were earned by grinding a line of commendations no matter how absurd it would be in the normal ebb and flow of multiplayer gameplay.
I like the idea of the Sangheili artisans behind Helioskrill were involved in some capacity behind players earning that armor in a future game. The armor was likely gifted to SPARTAN-IVs who proved themselves invaluable assets on detachment or exchange with the Swords of Sanghelios. Hopefully much of a Halo 6 will be set on the Sangheili homeworld. Helioskrill could be a reward for liberating Sanghelios from the Created in the arc's finale. Alternatively there could be a crafting-like side quest along the lines of data pads which culminate in a hidden objective in one of the exploration missions I desperately hope are expanded upon in Halo 6.
First-generation Recon made it's comeback in Halo 5 recently along with a modern objective behind its continued use in the face of the Created threat. Surely there has to be a mission where you don't need to fire your gun or lob a grenade into an unsuspecting gaggle of Unggoy. Like turn Nightfall or Mombasa Streets turned up to 11. The UEG-SOS is ought to embrace unconventional warfare real fast. Spotting field officers, vital communications nodes, materials, sabotaging assets, and acquiring enemy intel will be basic objectives. Let's make it interesting and relegate you to the shadows to accomplish your mission, only using the butt of your rifle or a knife to your enemy's neck.
Separate the entire armor permutation into individual pieces, breaking it down completely in spite of Halo 5's inelegance, and assign each of them a goal. This could make the whole permutation set something you craft through assuming a role in keeping with the armor's entire reason for being, not simply grinding a single weapon or ability which feels terribly unnatural. I could envision the helmet for most, if not all permutations, being the ultimate prize—assigned to performing similar tasks on Legendary difficulty or playing cooperatively with a team of four all with the same personal objectives.
