I find that the highest probability of success comes from everyone clearing out riff-raff before bosses so that you CAN focus fire. I've seen a lot of solid runs go downhill because people start throwing themselves at the bosses first and get chewed up by mobs before they can do anything. And then the respawn times kill you in the end.

I'm at the point with WZ FF where I post up pre-round 5 with whatever wraith or tank I've got focused on whatever the "problem spot" of the worst possible round 5 configuration is. That usually frees up my team to tackle the rest of the enemies much more easily.
