Montage Mednesday--Debate Night
By:Morpheus
Date: 2/8/17 11:26 pm

The subject of tonight's Montage Monday #3 is one of controversy and intrigue, and peaks my curiosity of the responses I hope to earn. Is it possible to be unique and still fit in?

Halo veteran BL4CKOUT is the definition of an enigma. He seems to have an air of mystery around him, and his videos are clear indicators of that. He usually likes to edit his videos to Trap Music, which is essentially hardcore rap/hip hop, and has mostly emulated his videos with TV static and flashes, giving it an old VHS appearance. His most recent montage garnered more attention than any of his previous works, dividing the Halo community like never before. Some consider it the best work in his entire career. Others claim it to be tired and indistinguishable from his other videos; basically the same thing over and over. Either way, this video is certainly a different, perhaps even refreshing, experience from the norm. Which brings to mind my original question: Can you create something that caters to your passion or liking and still find favor with popular opinion? And vice versa; Can you stay in the mainstream limelight without sacrificing your individuality? Which one is more important and can they both coexist?

Think about that with an open mind while I present to you Bl4CKOUT's third montage--

Return:Death Frenzy

Of course, I should warn you this video consists entirely of hardcore rap, and contains a lot of adult language, and a couple of disturbing scenes from the anime of this namesake.
