If I played it, the interest would mostly come from a bit of nostalgia. I played Lego games back when I was younger and the gimmick of playing a "Lego" Halo would at least get me to pick it up. However, like you said Lego games are much better for getting parents and kids to bound through video games. I don't think there would be a massive outcry and hatred for the game, but there wouldn't be any enthusiasm for it either.
