Overall it's a pretty enjoyable read, and it's much in the style of the Halo Graphic Novel in the presentation of the stories—like Fractures, some of the comics could have benefited from a few more pages to bulk out their length, but I enjoy the variety of stories we get. I'd say the major improvement is to the art—while there are some canon discrepancies (a c. 2537 Mk IV Spartan is outfitted with a H5-era BR, the "are people naked when they go into cryo" question still is given conflicting answers) from a style perspective there's nothing as wild as "Breaking Quarantine", but there's also nothing as inscrutable as "Last Voyage of the Infinite Succor", as bizarre as "Sunrise over New Mombasa" (though "Hunting Party"'s style comes close), or as blah as "Armor Testing".
