it's as if the Movie Enterprise model had air bubble under the letraset that made up the registry number and there was a thumb print in the paint. It would be hard to argue that those things were intentional design choices. Some parts of those models on the web page just look bad.

Though maybe they are artifacts caused by polygon reducing software. OTOH I have seen things like that in game.
