We see Hunters and Elites and Grunts and Brutes in the same pics as what I thought were Brute vehicles but maybe the artists have just gone for an angular, faceted, look for everything.

Maybe it's a covie/forerunner blend for their new gear.

What would the story rationale be? Are these covies who have been stuck on a shield world for a long time?
