Sitting back with those REQ's is the way to win, it's a crutch.
I also think the Map designs don't work well for this style, or if they made a more competitive mode similar to the older style (with more rounds). It's just not the design. But they can do the "miniature" maps they have for WarZone Assault for that potentially and it would work better. I do LOVE the objectives being part of this, but I also wish they didn't despawn. You won, but you have to clean up shop before the next round would be fun.
I also agree with the openness. I have spawned and had a Phaeton or 2 Ghosts, or so many enemies shooting at me, that I haven;t gotten more than 12 feet before I died. Luckily since their are no life pools it's not as big of an issue, but it feels like I am cheated, especially when I just called in a power weapon from a card.
But I do have FUN with this, I laugh and enjoy even dying (other than the above example), which I haven't done as much in Halo 5 before.
